The RSC's Associate Schools Programme

*       An innovative programme designed to transform classroom teaching
*       Builds on the legacy of the Learning and Performance Network (LPN)
*       Two ARK Academies were key hub schools nationally - Ark St Albans and Ark

Helenswood

*       Developing skills which will support learning across the curriculum
*       Close partnership with RSC

Helenswood have now been invited to be a Lead Associate School which brings additional benefits including:

*       Being recognised as an outstanding academy in the teaching of Shakespeare
*       Able to work with up to 10 Primary schools to develop an Associate School partnership
*       Providing outstanding CPD for teachers across all schools
*       Developing a teaching programme which supports literacy skills in all subjects

Does it make a difference?

Headteachers at the RSC conference said:

*       This has had a higher impact than any other CPD programme
*       Ofsted has recognised the higher standard of writing
*       Students are physically, emotionally and intellectually engaged
*       I have seen a massive difference in confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, and communication skills.
