The Arts Champion scheme has been developed by HRAEN to create a platform for young people to:

- Lead and develop activities in schools and in the locality
- Connect and participate in the wider arts and cultural offer in Hastings and Rother
- Celebrate achievements in the arts
- Complement other arts and participation initiatives in school
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Participating schools are required to:
- Recruit 6-12 Arts Champions in their school from years 7-9
- Provide a dedicated staff lead to support the group in their activities
- Connect Arts Champions with the wider school and local primaries
- Support young people through Arts Award, considering Artsmark
WHAT DOES THE NETWORK PROVIDE?
To become an Arts Champion your school simply needs to complete and return the form above, we look forward to welcoming you on board:
- Three meetings a year offering a platform for schools and young people to meet and develop ideas
- Dedicated Arts Champion pages on the HRAEN website through which to promote and share good practice in schools
- Opportunities for young people to take part in arts and cultural programmes in the area
- A pan school celebration event each year
- A conduit for fundraising and development
