Ashley McCormick
Head of Learning at De La Warr Pavilion. Ashley manages the Learning and Participation programmes which seek to support visitors of all ages to access and engage with the arts through a range of activities and events. Working in partnership with schools, youth organisations, higher education institutions and community groups, the programme includes drop-in sessions, workshops, courses, projects talks and tours. Niall Whitehead
Head of Performing Arts at Ark Alexandra Academy, also Youth Theatre Director at the Stables Theatre in Hastings, Old Town. Niall is an inspirational teacher and is our man in the know for all things Shakespeare. He also works with local schools encouraging greater take up of the Artsmark scheme and recently ran the Youth Arts Festival for HRAEN. |

Kim Byford Kim is currently the Head of Performing Arts at Bexhill College and has been in this post since 2001 leading the development of the Performing Arts department culminating in the building of the Izzard Theatre at the college. She has worked in post 16 education since 2000 in a variety of Colleges across the country. Kim is committed to exposing students to new experiences believing that this builds confidence which increases achievement across the curriculum and raises aspiration. |
Tessa Courtney Bennett I am the Year 5 Teacher and Arts and Global Learning Coordinator at Sacred Heart Primary School, Hastings. I work to ensure art is a priority in school and that all children have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the arts, exhibit their work and feel a sense of achievement in their learning. We also work with other schools and organisations around local artists and to increase the children's cultural capital. |
