February 08th, 2017: Music Month

For those who missed the HRAEN Network meeting last Tuesday,  please find below items about relevant event in Hastings and Rother Music Month.

That will be of specific interest to your music teachers and those at primary level who are deal with music, so please forward these to whoever may be interested.
It would be excellent if teachers and even secondary school students were able to contribute to the general consultation sessions. Also, we would encourage those schools who have performance spaces and rehearsal spaces that are in any way open to the public for use to take part in the Venues Review.

Music Month kicks off next week with over 150 events to choose from – see www.visit1066.com/musicmonth for full listings.

There are three events that we’d like to highlight.
We will be formally launching the idea of ‘Hastings & Rother Music City’ as part of the UnConvention on Monday 27 February at The Palace, 37 White Rock, Hastings, TN34 1JL.  There will be a session on Music Cities and Music Tourism in the morning followed by the launch at 1pm.   All welcome.

The UnConvention is a free event and you can see the full programme at www.hastingsfattuesday.co.uk.

There will be two general consultation sessions for anyone involved in the music sector and music economy.  These will be a chance to have an open discussion of key issues we want to take forward to develop the music scene in Hastings and Rother, plus find out who wants to be on the Music Advisory Board for the future.
