I am writing to you with information about an exciting literary event for children organised by the charity The Children's Bookshow which I hope will be of interest to you and your pupils.
The Children’s Bookshow is a national tour of children’s authors and illustrators that takes place in the autumn, giving teachers and school children the opportunity to hear world-class artists talk about their work. This year we are delighted to welcome acclaimed children's author and illustrator Bruce Ingman to the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill. Bruce has written and illustrated a number of highly distinctive and original books, including his most recent book with author Paul Bright The Hole Story (Andersen Press) which was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2017. Please see Joanna Carey’s article: ‘Bruce Ingman: The line of beauty’ at https://www.theguardian.com/books/2009/jun/20/bruce-ingham for further information about Bruce and his work. Bruce will be talking to children from Yrs 2, 3 & 4 about his drawing and storytelling, focusing on his book The Pencil, a playful, witty story about the power of imagination, with live drawing on stage. Bruce has worked with us previously on The Children's Bookshow and the children have always thoroughly enjoyed his performances. Further information about our event is included in our flyer below and is available on our website: www.thechildrensbookshow.com. Tickets are £5 per child and are free for accompanying adults. Each school attending Bruce's event will receive a free copy of two of his books, The Pencil and The Runaway Dinner, to be used as a classroom resource. Four free in-school workshops are available for any school making a booking and as these are allocated on a first come first serve basis, I would encourage an early booking to avoid any disappointment. All children attending this event will receive a free copy of Bruce's The Pencil (rrp £6.99) to take home and keep, courtesy of generous, additional funding obtained from The Unwin Trust this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me for further information about the event and for any bookings on 0793 222 0847 or [email protected].

Christmas Cards – reciprocity, why we do them, and how you can earn as much as three cards each year! 'Tis the season to be jolly! And also time to be thankful for the good things in life that others do for you. Masterbundles is the best place to buy bundles of Photoshop products. This is why we send Christmas cards around Christmas. With Christmas coming up, many people are considering sending out Christmas cards.
