Youth Theatre: New workshops next week

6/10/2017

After the success of the Rye Creative Centre Youth Theatre open day we are running a series of workshops. With your help and participation we'll build a youth theatre offering bespoke classes, workshops and performances. Run by Hayley-Marie Axe and Jeremy Tustin, RCC Youth Theatre will enable young people between the ages of 6 - 19 to get involved in all areas of theatre, film, TV, directing, design and script work. We look forward to seeing our students develop their skills in a positive and supportive environment, not only working on theatre and performance, but also communication, confidence and creativity working with professional artists and performers.

Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 18th October 2017:
ACT 1: 6 to 8 year olds 4.30-5pm, £3 per session
ACT 2: 9 to 11 year olds 5-6pm, £5 per session
ACT 3: 12 upwards 6-7pm, £5 per session
Half-term 2-day Workshop:
Thursday 26th & Friday 27th October 10am-3pm, £30 for both days.

FREE TICKETS
For young people interested in theatre, we are also offering free tickets for 14-18 year olds to this weekend's performance of 7 Seconds - a play fresh from the Hastings Fringe:
Sunday 8th October 7.30PM: SEVEN SECONDS – A new play by local writer/director
Patrick Kealey, with particular relevance to a teenage/young adult audience.
Followed by a Q & A with the cast and creative team for drama students.
Hayley-Marie Axe plays Marie, this will be her acting debut in Rye.
Sandy, a young teenage girl, is killed in a tragic road accident. Good girl or bad? Saint or
sinner? Her family and friends know the whole story. Or do they?
